This project is intended to use a well known technology - Raman spectroscopy detector but miniaturized to fit into a very small spaces and designed to be made at very low cost in volumes.
The miniaturization opens up numerous of applications such as detection of explosives, medical analysis, drug detection and other general environmental monitoring. The smaller size reduces also cost of manufacturing that even further increases the number of applications.
All substances vaporize molecules that can be detected with their own specific spectral signature while being exposed to a special light source.
The spectral read out is like a fingerprint unique to any substance.
The basic development of a miniature spectrometer has been made at
Target is to develop and market very small fully integrated detectors based on proprietary know- how and IP like patents starting with one US patent.
The detectors key elements are in good function however some needs further development and refinement to variuous applications.
All parts of the system are functional today, but require further system integration and miniaturization to acheive final products!
NPG initially holds 40% of the shares of Serstech AB and other share holders are key personnel and other investors.
Next round of financing in place
Another round of financing has been made in April 2007 adding some twenty new shareholders securing next stage of both general business and technical development.
Development
Evaluation samples have been available since March 2008 and in April 2008, first sales and shipments of products were made.
Under the NPG supervison a development agreement for advanced detection technology has been signed with a swedish governmental institution May 2008.
